Elizabeth Barfield blends together practices from various fields of study. She completed her level one teacher training in Kundalini yoga and meditation in 2009 in New York, NY. A trained pianist and vocalist, she had an instant connection with the practice of chanting meditation. Impressed with the practice’s ability to release anxiety and promote mental clarity, she started looking deeper into the nature of sound as a therapeutic modality. Elizabeth uses therapeutic sound instruments and voice during her yoga classes and offers sound baths to the community. She is currently working with children with multiple disabilities and is studying occupational therapy to further bring sound and holistic modalities to diverse populations in the Atlanta area.

She offers a unique therapeutic soundscape, an environment to rest and reconnect in harmonic resonance. Sound is used as a tool for restoring our own “perfect pitch” — our innate personal vibration — opening us up to self-inquiry through introspection. A combination of crystal and Himalayan bowls, tuning forks, crystal pyramids, chimes and voice will harmonize and attune with the body on the cellular level, supporting self-repair.
